In April we held our 11th Front of House All Stars Dinner as part of the 25th Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
An amazing night, hosted by Sean Kierce at Ladro Tap in Prahran, saw a team of top hospo industry All Stars entertain 110 guests, treating them to signature dishes, matched with stunning wines and mezcal. The 2017 All Stars were…. Leanne Altmann (Supernormal); Simon Denton (Izakaya Den/Kappo); Chris Lerch(Ezard); Sean Kierce (Ladro) and Ainslie Lubbock (presenting Epocha), Nick Peters (Mamasita/Hotel Jesus) and Anna Healy (Sezar). Each All Star donated their dish, wine, their time, and auction items, and are also accompanied by a chef and ‘helper’. Everyone donates their time – it is an amazing team effort.

We were also incredibly lucky that Erez Gordon (Bishop Sessa) once again MC’d the night, flying himself down from Sydney especially for the event. He kept the crowd on their toes and then helped them empty their wallets all in a good cause!
Big Surprise on the night!
On the night we had a surprise guest – Will Guidara from Eleven Madison Park – who offered a table for two at his restaurant – a very generous supporter paid $5000 for it. The next night Eleven Madison Park was named World’s Best Restaurant! It was meant to be. Huge thanks to Will for his generosity and our generous supporter, an amazing end to the night.
All up the auction raised half of the nights donations. Other auction items included all the ‘smart’ aprons worn by the All Stars raising over $3,000 (shout out to Cargo Crew), two Private Wine Masterclasses, for up to 12 people, donated and hosted by Peter Marr from Winestyle, a weekend at Crittenden Estate, an Ezard Tasting menu for 2 with wine, a Supernormal banquet for 2 pax with drinks can book, Ladro Beergustation x 4 with tote bags and many more great items!
