How our Corporate Partners are Making a Difference in Ending Homelessness
At StreetSmart, we are passionate about ending homelessness and providing care for those in crisis. We understand that this is an enormous task that requires a collective effort from all sectors of the community, including corporate partners and passionate individuals.
That’s why we are delighted to work alongside many organisations and corporate partners that share our vision and are committed to giving back. Our corporate partners are helping respond to and prevent homelessness in tangible ways, whether that be through sponsoring our campaigns, fundraising for positive impact, or pledging a corporate donation. These collaborative efforts represent essential steps towards a more socially responsible and compassionate society.
Current modern leadership, of successful companies, recognises that responsible, active community engagement and meaningful contributions are an important part of their social licence to operate and their ESG reporting. Cargo Crew sponsored our DineSmart Anniversary Dinner
Earlier in the year, the team at Cargo Crew joined us in celebrating the 20th year anniversary of our DineSmart event (a milestone they are familiar with, as they also turned 20!) jumping as sponsor partners. Their support was vital in helping us bring to life an exclusive fundraising dinner for 110 people who enjoyed signature dishes & paired wines from 6 of our long-term venue partners, and that raised more than $46k in one night only! Cargo Crew also provided the outstanding uniforms for all restaurateurs, chefs and the awesome FOH team led by our community partners at Scarf Community.

Origin Energy sponsored our Making-a-Home program in 2023
In 2022, we first connected with Origin Energy, which has been such a pleasure to see their multi-program support for at-risk and vulnerable communities. Origin powered our ‘Making a Home’ initiative these past 12 months through a corporate sponsorship, which is providing tenancy support and material aid to ensure vulnerable people are given the best chance when exiting homelessness. This includes: tenancy bonds, utility costs, white goods, soft furnishings, household furniture and groceries. To date, this project has supported over 400 households. Find out more here.

Coffee Tools Distributing was one of the CafeSmart 2023 sponsors
Since we first got in touch with the team at Coffee Tools Distributing, it was clear that their decision of jumping as sponsor partners of CafeSmart had one clear objective: to help scale the impact of the event across the country. They empowered their coffee network, encouraged venues to take part in the event and rewarded the top fundraiser cafes with exciting prizes. Merchants of the Sun’s collection with Sam Corlett helping end homelessness
It’s thanks to Sam Corlett, Australian Actor & Artist from the Central Coast, that we connected to the incredible team at Merchants of the Sun. Sam’s uncle lived on the streets for many years before he passed away, and his memory has inspired and driven Sam to find ways to help those who are experiencing homelessness. That’s why Merchants of the Sun are donating all the proceeds from the collection designed by Sam, and they are aiming to raise $10k!

The Alternative Dairy Co team
The Alternative Championship Team Edition raising funds for our TipJar Fund
Once again, the passionate team at The Alternative are touring the country with their barista competition and they’ll be raising funds for our TipJar Fund to provide hospitality training, education, and employment opportunities to at-risk people. Donating all proceeds from the ticket sales and chipping in directly, they’ll ensure we’ll raise enough funds for us to distribute 7 grants local to the cities where the events are hosted. Worn For Good – Designer Apparel with purpose
Every purchase made at Worn for Good not only grows the movement towards a circular economy, but also creates positive social and environmental impact. They donate 100% of the profits to different charities, and this year, all their sales from July2023 to January 2024 are supporting our grant making efforts. Find out more here.
Good Coffee Doing Good
Good Coffee Doing Good is a project-based initiative by Padre Coffee who partners with impact-focused enterprises both local and global and is fuelled by their Golden Rule Espresso Blend. They just nominated StreetSmart as their charity partner and they’ll raise funds for us by donating $4 for each kilo of the Golden Rule coffee sold across their retail and wholesale operations. A Trivia night for a good cause
The awesome team at the Fitzroy Tennis Club chose StreetSmart as their charity partner for this year’s annual Winter Ball! We helped them make the trivia night one of purpose and meaning with posters and QR codes to connect members with the impact their donations would have for people experiencing homelessness. Events like these, fueled by community spirit, remind us of what is possible (over $4,910 raised)…all while having a bit of trivia fun!

Pepper Money donates $10,000
As part of their CSR program, the Pepper Money Giving Committee chose StreetSmart Australia as one of their charity partners this year. With a very generous donation of $10,000, they decided to help us boost the impact through our Making a Home initiative. We also helped organise a volunteering sandwich making session with Eat Up and the Pepper Money team in Sydney, a great example of how our partnerships often go beyond donations to promote education, awareness and connection to homelessness.

Hall & Wilcox Community Fund’s grant
This year, we had the honour to be part of the Hall & Wilcox Community Fund launch! Their Fund’s goal is to improve human rights outcomes in the areas of housing, employment and education, and we were grateful to be one of their first grant recipients. Their donation of $20,000 will help fund a variety of supports to people moving into their first home after a period of homelessness. Find out more here.

This October, we were delighted to hear that McCormick Foods chose StreetSmart as their annual MMB charity, supporting our core mission and joining us in taking action against homelessness. We had the opportunity to meet some of the faces behind their generous donation ($3,100) while touring around their new office space and warehouse in Moorabbin.

Proplab Group ensures support for their local communities
We are always thrilled to receive support from new corporate partners who are dedicated to giving back to their local communities and helping us enhance our efforts. Recently, Proplab Group reached out to learn more about our programs and they made a generous donation of $5,000 towards housing support services in the communities where their offices are based – Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney.
