How fundraising will make change…
Your fundraising supports grassroots organisations in your region that are doing vital work in supporting their communities. Fundraising will support StreetSmart’s community grants which keep funds as close as possible to where they were raised while prioritising smaller, grassroots organisations working to support vulnerable people at risk of, or experiencing homelessness.

For every $1 we raise and distribute, $3.80 is created in social value. Read our latest Impact Report here.

How was this program developed and why is it needed?
The team at StreetSmart have been helping school students and connecting with school communities since our launch in 2003. We frequently provide information and knowledge to students and educators through our Library and About Homelessness pages, and are often the charity recipients of school fundraisers.
With Schools for Change, we are levelling up our support to meet this student-led interest in learning and advocacy. Additionally, we know how important reducing myths and misconceptions are for generating grassroots change and advocacy for people experiencing homelessness. Read more about this here.
