For 12 years StreetSmart has been partnering with businesses across the hospitality industry to bring about social change in their local communities. Over 1000 restaurants and cafes have been involved in either DineSmart or CafeSmart, raising funds to power grassroots homeless projects. If you had asked me what kind of company I would like to work with, to build our events and social impact, I couldn’t have imagined a better fit than Silver Chef.
Wow – we made it, our new website is live! As anyone who has ever taken on a similar endeavour will tell you – it ain’t easy – and we are all a few years older than when we started! We are very excited at what the new site brings to our work and we have many people to thank.

On August 8th 410 Cafes, 18 Coffee Roasters and 1000’s of coffee drinkers and supporters came together to participate in CafeSmart 2014. Together we raised a record breaking $120,263 (up from $83,950 in 2013) to fund local grassroots homeless projects.

For the 7th year, as part of the 2015 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, experience the skills of Melbourne’s favourite Front of House All Stars as they dish up an evening of top class hospitality. From 10th Nov – 31st Dec you can Dine Out Help Out to fund grassroots homeless projects
Last month we launched our new crowdfunding platform ‘Projects’. The exciting news is that together we have raised $4,700 and fully funded (118%) our first project to fund the purchase of new cots for ‘at risk’ families.
